Why it's different from social media

On the big social networks, many African talents post for free for years hoping for a brand deal, or run into monetisation requirements that are hard to reach (a huge number of followers, payment by bank card or in foreign currencies). The result: millions of views, but very little income.

KasoLife flips the logic: your audience pays you directly, from your very first fan, with the Mobile Money they already use every day (MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money). No need to be famous, no need for a bank card.

Myths to forget

• “Nobody will pay.” People already pay for what matters to them: data bundles, concerts, lessons, matches. They'll pay for your content if it's exclusive, regular and offered at an affordable price.
• “You need thousands of subscribers.” 100 loyal fans paying 1,000 XCON a month bring you 80,000 XCON every month. A small, engaged community is worth more than a crowd watching for free.
• “If I post free content, I lose money.” Free content is your advertising: it's what makes people want to buy the rest.
• “It's complicated.” If you can post a WhatsApp status and send money by Mobile Money, you can use KasoLife. This guide walks you through it step by step.

1. Polish your profile

1. 1Open ProfileIdentity.
2. 2Profile photo: sharp, with your face well lit (jpg, png, webp, 5 MB max). Fans buy from a person, not a logo.
3. 3Banner that shows your world (your stage, your kitchen, your gym…).
4. 4Lifer name: the public name your fans will remember.
5. 5Username: it makes up your profile link, the one you'll share everywhere. Choose it carefully: it can only be changed 5 times.
6. 6Bio (500 characters): say in one sentence what you offer and how often. Example: “Easy Cameroonian recipes, a new video every Wednesday and a cooking live on Sunday.”

2. Explore your Lifer space

On a computer, click My Space in the top bar. On a phone, open your avatar menu, then Creative Studio. There you'll find: Dashboard, Posts, Streamcast (live), Private Chat, Private Shows, Custom requests, Subscribers, My earnings, Wallet and the Getting started guide with your progress bar.

3. Verify your identity right now

Verification (KYC) is required to deposit, withdraw and receive your earnings. Do it straight away so you're not stuck on the day you want to cash out: ProfileIdentityVerify my identity. Have your valid national ID card or passport ready, and a phone with a camera. Details in the Getting your money chapter.

4. Add your Mobile Money number

In WalletMobile Money, add your MTN or Orange number and confirm it with the code you receive by SMS (valid for 10 minutes).

5. Publish your first content

Start with 3 to 5 free posts that show what you can do, then a first paid post. Everything is explained in the Posting chapter.

How much you earn

The rule is simple and the same for everything: you receive 80% of what your fan pays, and KasoLife keeps 20% to run the platform (servers, video, payments, security, support). No hidden fees on your sales.

All prices are in XCON. Also planned: 3-tier Fan Club, VIP Shows, paid snapshots, interactive toys, live goals funded by fans.

Choosing visibility: the most important decision

Posting photos (in an album)

On KasoLife, every photo belongs to a photo album. The whole album is either free or paid: handy for selling a photo shoot, a lookbook or a “before / after” series.

1. 1Click Photo, then the upload area (jpeg, png, webp, avif… 15 MB max).
2. 2Choose a filter (Original, Vivid, Warm, Mono, Cool) or “Skip”.
3. 3Select an album or create one with + New album: title, description, category (required).
4. 4Write a caption (2,000 characters). Out of ideas? Use the Generate with AI button.
5. 5Click Add to album. Repeat for each photo (30 photos max per album).
6. 6At the bottom of the page, in the Albums section: click the pencil to set the price (0 = free, otherwise 500 XCON minimum), add a description and a cover, then click the eye to publish the album.

Posting a video

1. 1Click Video and upload your file (mp4, mov, webm… 200 MB max). The video is converted and its thumbnail created automatically.
2. 2If you like, add it to one or more video collections (5 max).
3. 3Write the caption and choose the category.
4. 4Choose the visibility: Public, Subscribers only or Pay-per-view (price from 500 to 200,000 XCON).
5. 5Click Publish: the video goes online immediately.

Video collections: sell packs

In the Albums section, Video column, create a collection (e.g. “Beginner guitar lessons”, “My 10 best recipes”), add up to 10 videos and set a price. A fan who buys the collection gets access to the videos already in it and to the ones you add later: a great selling point. Each video can still be bought on its own too.

Great content with just a phone

• Light: film facing a window or outdoors in the shade, never with the light behind you.
• Sound: find a quiet spot; when talking, bring the phone closer or use earphones with a mic.
• Stability: rest your phone on something or use a stand; clean the lens before filming.
• Hook: the first 3 seconds decide whether people keep watching. Start with the result, the question or the highlight.
• Mobile data: your fans often watch on 3G/4G; short, well-cut videos load faster.

Starting a live, step by step

1. 1Open My SpaceStreamcast (or avatar menu → Streamcast).
2. 2Write a title that makes people want to join (300 characters): “Cooking live: express ndolé in 30 minutes”.
3. 3Turn on your camera and microphone, check the framing and the lighting.
4. 4Set the Live price with − and +: 0 = free, otherwise 500 XCON minimum per viewer.
5. 5Click Start live. To stop: End live.

During the live

• Chat, DM and Fans tabs to follow your audience.
• Gifts: your fans send you a Star (500), Gem (2,000) or Crown (10,000 XCON). Thank each person by their username: that's what makes others want to send one too.
• Goal: “+ Create a goal” button (title + amount, 1,000 XCON minimum), for example “20,000 XCON = I sing your favourite song”. Only one active goal at a time; it can no longer be edited after the first contribution. Fans will soon be able to contribute from their own screen.
• Your live earnings (tickets, gifts) are credited when the live ends.
• The chat is not kept after the live.

On the fan's side

Your live appears in Livestreams and at the top of the “Live” feed, and a “LIVE — Watch” button shows up on your profile. For a paid live, the fan clicks “Buy a ticket”.

Private Show: one-to-one video

2. 2Set your price for each type and each duration (above the minimums if you wish), then click “Save rates”.
3. 3Requests arrive in the Queue tab, sorted by bid: the fan who offers the most goes first.
4. 4Click Accept to open the session, or Decline (the fan is refunded).

• On the fan's side: “Private Show” button on your profile → type, duration, bid → “Join the queue”. They can raise their bid or cancel (refunded).
• A request that isn't handled expires after 10 minutes.
• If your connection drops, you have 5 minutes to click “Reconnect”: the timer is paused.
• At the end, unused minutes are refunded to the fan; you're paid for the time actually spent.
• Spectator mode (spy) on Standard shows.

Private Chat: private chat bundles

The fan books a fixed-price bundle: 15 min 5,000 · 30 min 9,000 · 45 min 12,500 · 60 min 15,000 XCON. With the Cam2Cam option, their webcam must be on (otherwise you can decline).

2. 2Accept opens the session; Decline refunds the fan.
3. 3At the end, unused minutes are refunded pro rata.

Paid messages

In a conversation (Messages), fill in the “Exclusive message price” field (500 to 200,000 XCON) before sending. The fan sees “Exclusive message” and clicks “Unlock” to read it. Ideal for detailed advice, a written shout-out or a sneak peek.

Tips

Your fans can send you a tip (500 to 500,000 XCON) with the “Tip” button in the conversation. Don't hesitate to remind them kindly: “If this advice helped you, a little tip keeps me motivated!”

Custom requests

A fan orders made-to-measure content from you: a birthday video shout-out, a song with their name, a tailored workout programme, a drawn portrait… Their budget (1,000 to 500,000 XCON) is reserved as soon as they order: you know you'll get paid.

2. 2Three choices: Accept, Counter-offer (if the budget is too low, suggest your price) or Decline (the fan is refunded).
3. 3Once accepted, the request moves to In progress. When it's ready: Deliver content with the link and a short message.
4. 4The fan confirms they received it: you get your payment (80%). If there's a disagreement, the KasoLife team reviews the dispute.

A request with no reply expires after 7 days. Don't underestimate this service: content made for just one person is worth much more than content sold to everyone.

The price ladder

• The first purchase is the hardest. A first piece of content at 500 XCON removes the barrier; a fan who has paid once buys again much more easily.
• Packs reassure. “10 videos for 3,000 XCON” sells better than 10 videos at 500 XCON each.
• Made-to-measure is worth a lot. Don't undersell your custom requests and private sessions: they take your time.
• Adjust by looking at your numbers. Change an album's price with the pencil, watch your sales in My earnings and keep what works.
• Private session rates: queue always full = raise your prices; no requests = stay at the minimum and promote yourself more.

Share your links everywhere

1. 1On a post or an album, tap Share: your phone suggests WhatsApp, Facebook and so on, or copies the link.
2. 2The link shows a preview with the image and a padlock if the content is paid: curiosity makes people click.
3. 3Put your profile link in your TikTok, Instagram and Facebook bios and in the description of your YouTube videos.
4. 4Post regularly on your WhatsApp status: a clip + “the rest is on my KasoLife” + the link.

Many of your fans have never paid for content online. They're not refusing to pay: they don't know how and they're afraid of scams. Reassure them and guide them. You can copy this message:

Build a loyal community

• Reply to messages, and publicly thank your supporters during your lives.
• Ask your fans what they want to see, then create it (and sell it).
• Cross-promote with other Lifers in your field: share each other's profiles.
• Every now and then, offer an exceptional free piece of content to thank your community.

• Referrals: the person you invite receives a 500 XCON bonus after spending 5,000 XCON on KasoLife within 30 days of their first purchase.

Your two balances

Track your income in My SpaceDashboard and My earnings (by period: 7 days, 30 days, 1 year, all time).

1. Verify your identity (KYC)

4. 4The result usually comes in a few minutes.

2. Receive your earnings

• Minimum: 5,000 XCON · fees: 1.5% of the amount.
• Only one request in progress at a time; you can cancel it as long as it hasn't been processed.
• Each request is checked by the team before it's sent to your Mobile Money number (target: 48 working hours). If it's refused, you're told why and the money goes back to your pending earnings.

3. Withdraw your available balance

• WalletWithdraw: minimum 500 XCON, fees 1.5%, up to 1,000,000 XCON per day.
• Sending to your number is automatic; if it fails, the full amount is credited back.
• Security: after adding or changing a Mobile Money number, withdrawals are blocked for 24 hours.

Secure your account

• Turn on two-step verification: ProfileSecurityTwo-step verification (code by email or SMS at each login).
• Check your active sessions in Profile → Security and revoke any you don't recognise.
• The KasoLife team will never ask for your password, your Mobile Money PIN or a payment. Any message that does is a scam.

Protect your content

• Viewed images carry a watermark with the viewer's ID and the date: if content leaks, the account responsible can be traced and closed.
• Purchased content can only be streamed, with no download button.
• If you find your paid content posted elsewhere, send the link to support.

Never leave KasoLife to get paid

A fan offers to send you money directly by Mobile Money? Say no. Outside the platform, you have no protection against fake transfers, reversals and blackmail, and it's against the Terms of Use.

The content rules in brief

Breaking the rules leads to content removal, suspension or account closure. Being harassed or blackmailed? Write to support immediately: these reports are handled as a priority.
